Oliver listened to the girls words closely, the same advice was reminding him of his friend Ian’s advice and his own advice that he never ever considers taking but when Chloe started speaking, each word was a bullet piecing through his skin, every word meant something. He sighed softly but smiled when he felt something soft and warm press against his cheek, he licked his lips and saw the brunette pull away looking up at him with beautiful brown sparkling eyes. He laughed softly and squeezed her hand as the continued on down the trail, wiping a lost tear from his eye. He turned to the girl with a grin pulling at his features, “Thank you, Chloe..”

“Anytime Oliver, really.” Continuing down the path, she noticed that the sky had become quite cloudy. “Um… As much as I love being out here with you, we should probably turn back, looks like it might rain.” Chloe said, pointing up toward the sky. She wanted to be around him more often but she couldn’t just ask him out. The brunette had heard about him and his group of admirers. He probably didn’t ever have a problem with turning someone down and even though she could count the amount of times it had happened to her on a single hand, Chloe didn’t react well to being turned down. She became quite shy and uncomfortable when it happened, and it made her feel vulnerable. Realizing she had gotten lost in thought, she mentally shook her head in attempt to forget about her thoughts involving him.

Oliver smiled down at the girl and noticed her stopping in her tracks to look up at the sky. He looked up to see dark cotton balls quickly rolling in causing him to frown but he gave her a big friendly smile and tugged on her hand, “Thats too bad… Maybe we can go to the cafeteria and get something to eat? A cup of hot coco and a muffin?” He suggested as they turned around back down the trail, glancing over at her direction with a smile, “but I mean, you don’t have to, I can walk you back to your cabin?” He suggested

Oliver felt something tug on his body and pull him towards their direction, he didn’t say anything when he felt arms encircle him and bring him closer. He sighed softly and hesitantly wrapped his arms around Chloe’s shoulders bringing her closer, sniffling sadly. He closed his eyes, setting his chin down on the top of her head as he swayed their bodies to sooth him down and reassure her that he was fine, he softly began to hum the lullaby his mother use to sing him, “I’m only scared ill disappoint them… I want to be a poet while my dad wants me to he a football player…” He whispered into her ear.

Oliver smiled at her giggle but his smile slowly slipped off his face at the mention of his father, his face went blank but his eyes held a tint of a cold personality, “What do you want to know?” He asked quietly walking forward as he stuffed his hands into his hoodie.

Chloe…

Oliver saw the hurt in her eyes and in an instant his body twitched with guilt and his stomach tightened the hold on his knot. He stepped forwards shaking his head and waving his head in defense, “No, no, no! Please disregard that.. I…” He sighed hesitantly continuing “I really dislike my dad a lot- my mom is perfect but my dad… He…” He stopped his sentence looking down at his shoes then back up at her, biting down harshly on his bottom lip to hold back tears “My dad didn’t become the famous football player he wanted to be so he thinks I’m a second chance and wants me to graduate and become a famous well known football player but… He found my p-poetry book and got mad at m-me.. Really mad..” He gulped feeling tears prick his eyes but he turned away from the brunette

Oliver gave her a small smile back before scratching the back of his neck nervously, “Hah, sorry about that.. I wanted to play outside cause it was a beautiful day but apparently It was too “hot” outside” Oliver said making air quotations with his fingers before setting them…

“I see..” He nodded his head at her finally eating the piece of muffin he had teared off, he munched on it looking up at the ceiling, swallowing his food before looking at her, “It’s stressing…” He groaned softly turning to her with a grin before continuing to answer the question. “Everyone always relies on you to do everything right and to win the game.. ” he grumbled biting of a piece of his muffin instead of tearing at it.

Oliver kept walking listening to her fascinating story that was definitely amusing him, he could hear the passion on her voice and see the love in her eyes. He grinned to himself before turning to her, “I see…” He mumbled to himself before stopping in his tracks to look at her curiously, his blue frosty eyes meeting her dark chocolate brown that wanted to make him melt down in an ooze of goo. He mentally shook his head trying to get rid of the unwanted thoughts that would lead to a broken heart, “Uhm… Well…” He shifted a bit on his feet shyly trying to remember his question but he looked back into her eyes after glancing away with a childish grin pulling at his features, “I forgot”

Chloe spotted Oliver sitting on a wide rock and picked up her pace, a grin on her face. She had been yearning to spend time out on the path since she got back from camp and she could already tell it’d be even better having Oliver with her. Finally reaching him, her grin grew to a smile, “Hey Oliver”. The brunette was curious to know more about poetry. She had never been too skilled at writing it, the few times she had attempted to write any, she could never figure out the right way to word her thoughts. She found it fascinating to read though and had great admiration for those who were able to create it. It was beautiful and it seemed to always mean something different for each reader. “So, I have to know, where do you get your inspiration for the poetry?” She asked, looking up at him. Oliver was so different than what she thought he might be like. Chloe always had assumed he’d just be a stereotypical football player, and after everything that had recently happened in her life, she didn’t feel like handling someone like that.

“Where do I get my inspiration?” He asked her confirming her question before stroking his scruffy beard as he began to walk the path with her. Oliver always usually turned to poetry when he wanted to relieve emotions or dreams… Sometimes he even writes about the perfect relationship he has always wanted. He turned his head to her before looking down at his shoes, “I, uh…Hm.. I usually get my inspriaton by the emotion I am feeling and I try to relieve it… sometimes I even write about my dreams and goals…” He said softly, eyes sparkling with passion, he licked his lips and then bit gently down on the brim of them. “What got you into fashion or… when did you realize you loved it?”

Chloe dug through the large pile of shoes that resided at the bottom of her closet, attempting to locate her favorite pair of sneakers. Spotting a glimmer of the familiar lavender shoe laces, she reached a hand into the pile before pulling the two out. The brunette sat down onto her bed and pulled both shoes onto her feet. Now completely dressed for a long hike, she grabbed her phone off the side table and slipped it into the pocket of her windbreaker. Chloe left her dorm room, and began making her way over to where she had agreed to meet Oliver. She was ecstatic that she’d met the cute boy. He seemed sweet, and he loved the outdoors. One of Chloe’s many secrets was that she loved being outside and exercising. Normally it wasn’t something she shared with people since it didn’t seem very girly and there was never really was reason to talk about it, but Oliver made her feel at ease.

Oliver sat on a boulder looking up at the sun slowly beginning to peek over the horizon making him smile softly before he heard footsteps being made towards him. He turned his head to meet the brown eyes of a beautiful brunette cheerleader, Oliver knows what you’re thinking- He is hanging out with a cheerleader, never in a thousand years you thought but Chloe was different. She was down to earth, beautiful, and super funny, She was definitely someone Oliver was glad to meet. He licked his lips slipping off of the giant rock to stand in front of her with a grin. Observing her outfit before dragging his eyes back to her own, “Hi” Oliver said shyly, lifting up his hand to give her a small wave. Oliver knew it was a bit chilly and felt a tad bit uneasy on not wearing a jacket with some dark clouds rolling in to ruin their sunshine. He wore a gray hoodie, blacksweats, and black tennis shoes- He needed to dress warm.

At least when we were camping there were things to do.
